Slippens-Stam stormed ahead on the final night easily repeating their 2003 win.
Frank Vandenbroucke and Stefan van Dijk retired but Gilmore and Franz Stocher continued
as a pair. Continuing the dominance of the Derny events, Matthew Gilmore again won the
Night Six competition
Slippens-Stam continue to dominate at the conclusion of the penultimate night in Amsterdam.
They are the only pair currently on the Zero Lap, but three duos are a single lap down and
both McGrory-Marvulli and Risi-Betschart are reasonably in sight of the bonus lap at 300 points.
Gilmore-Vandenbroucke, whilst keeping them company, at 223 points are a little far back to get the bonus
lap tomorrow night. To win they will have to gain two laps from their current position, and with the
Dutchmen, Robert Slippens and Danny Stam, eager to repeat last year's win on their home turf, that
is not a very likely outcome. The best Gilmore-Vandenbroucke can realistically hope for is to gain a lap
and about 30 points on Risi-Betschart to give them third spot on the overall podium tomorrow night.
The Gilmore-Vandenbroucke juggernaught still dominates the Derny Competitions with Matthew Gilmore
having again won the Night Five Derny event.
The Slippens-Stam duo turned up the afterburners on Night Four, pulling back the lap they lost earlier
and scoring enough points along the way to catapault them into the lead. There are now three pairs on
the Zero Lap, but Gilmore-Vandenbroucke, currently in fourth spot, are only a few points short of a
bonus lap and will soon join the three leaders in what now looks like becoming a four pairs race.
Retaining the Gilmore - Vandenbroucke stranglehold on the Derny competition, Frank Vandenbroucke won
the Night Four Derny Series.

Standings: Night Three, Wednesday:
At the halfway point it looks like the race is settling down with three pairs starting to
build up a handy points advantage. But laps are what count, and the Robert Slippens-Danny Stam duo
in third spot are a lap down with Gilmore-Vandenbroucke chasing hard but a little short of points to
take over third spot currently.
Matthew Gilmore, neophyte Frank Vandenbroucke's partner, continued the duo's domination of the Derny
events by winning the Night Three Derny Competition. Vandenbroucke won the Night Two Derny Competition.

Standings: Night Two, Tuesday:
There are seven pairs contesting the lead after Night Two. The leading three pairs are a lap up but
only on account of having crossed the 100 point Bonus Lap mark. The three pairs on the Zero Lap
are hotly pursued by the four pairs currently a lap back with the Matthew Gilmore-Frank Vandenbroucke
duo leading the charge in fourth spot.
Riding surprisingly well, considering the recent upheavals in his personal life, is Matthew Gilmore's
partner, neophite Six Day rider, Frank Vadenbroucke who won the Night Two Derny Competition.
