Night Three - November 25 (Thursday)

The two Hunts on Night Three at the Vlaanderen Six Day in Ghent were won by Gilmore-Bartko and Slippens-Stam.

Swiss European Madison Champions Marvulli-Aeschbach now lead but the lead is tenuous. Their sprinting abilities in the Hunts allowed them to be first to claim the 200 point bonus lap but on the same Zero lap are Slippens-Stam and Gilmore-Bartko within easy distance of the bonus lap and so Marvulli-Aeschbach will need to steal a lap if they have ambitions of retaining the lead long term.

The Downing Brothers, injured in a crash in the second Hunt of Night One, are gamely continuing and even managed to win a few points on Night Three but now languish 29 laps back at the Half Way point.

Night Two - November 24 (Wednesday)

The Second night in Ghent was Fast and Furious and there were major changes in the leadership during the second night at the 64th Vlaanderen Six. The leaders after Night One, Villa-Stocher, are now back in seventh spot and two laps in arrears with no 100 points bonus lap imminent.

Slippens-Stam, as usual are pairing exceptionally well together. They won the flying lap time trial (166 meters in 8.86 sec., and narrowly missed winning the 500 meter event when Marvulli-Aeschbach clocked 28.49 seconds to best the Dutchmens 28.89. Gilmore-Bartko, leading the field at the end of night two, seem to be working together better than expected for such a last minue pairing, but Risi-Betschart are on a roll, currently in second spot but lacking only two points for the bonua lap that will put them a lap ahead of Gilmore-Bartko

Iljo Keisse, the young Home Turf rider brought the crowd to its feet though. He won the second Hunt (40 minutes + 10 laps) with his partner Andy Beikirch and drew the roars of the crowd continually for his gutsy riding. It is certain that this young man will be heard from again in future Sixes after he has completed his apprenticeship.

Night One - November 23 (Tuesday)

The first night in Ghent was Fast and Furious. The chases were short and Marco Villa - Franz Stocher, who do not usually ride as a Pair, soon got into sync and although they did not win either of the two Hunts, they were the only duo that ended on lap zero in both Hunts. Somewhat surprisingly then, although short on points, Villa -Stocher surged into the lead.

Australian Scott McGrory scratched at the last minute with influenza. He was replaced by the organizer, Parick Sercu, with Germany's Lars Teutenberg

The Downing Brothers Crashed during the second Hunt but are continuing although they are now five laps down.
