As Promised, Italian squad manager Fusi's ``Squadra Azzura'' riders came north meaning business. With two riders, Visconti and Corioni, away in a successful two man break for the last 70 km., the Italians dominated the event and confirmed their superiority when team mate Rigotti outsprinted the other members of the chase group for third spot to make it an all Italian podium.
