Rumour: UCI and Grand Tours reconciled
(EDT in North America)

Rumours are circulating that an agreement had been reached between the organizers of the Tours of 
Italy France and Spain and the UCI whereby the three Tours will be included in the controversial
new UCI Pro Tour for the coming 2005 season.

Euskaltel-Euskadi squad for Memorial Galera

The Euskaltel-Euskadi will be contesting a local event tomorrow, the Memorial Galera-Ciudad de Armilla
which is to be run over a hilly 145.5 km. around Armilla, in the Basque region of Spain.

Gorka Gerrikagoitia, the Euskaltel-Euskadi squad Director, advises that Koldo Fernández de Larrea,
Roberto Laiseka, Alberto López de Munain, Antton Luengo, Aketza Peña, Josu Sillóniz, Joseba Zubeldia 
and Joseba Albizu will be on the start line for his squad.

Worlds Junior Mens Road race to Roman Kreuziger
(EDT in North America)

Czech Roman Kreuziger is the new Worlds Junior Road race Champion.

In Verona today (Saturday) he bested Tunisia's Rafaa Chtioui, with Slovenia's Simon Spilak
rounding out the podium in third spot with bronze. 

Italy's Eros Capecchi finished fourth.

Worlds Womens Road Race to Arndt

Germany's Judith Arndt just won the Womens World Road title.

Second, Tatiana Guderzo (ITA); Anita Valen (NOR) brings in the bronze.

Veteran french legend, Jeannie Longo-Ciprelli, finished a somewhat disappointing 21st., but
as in the Time Trial, had the satisfaction of being the best placed Frenchwoman.
